since 2001, based in New York. He is
responsible for risk management, quantitative
strategies and research, asset allocation and
ALM.
Mark has over 25 years of experience in
institutional risk management and quantitative
research at BlackRock, Barra, Global Advanced
Risk Knowledge Network, Inc.

Mark has authored papers for various refereed Journals. He has co-
authored a chapter on Financial Modeling for a book on ALM and the SOA’s
ALM Specialty Guide. He speaks at various events including ICBI's Risk
Minds, RISK, PRMIA, Forbes, IIR.
Mark serves on the Board of Directors of PRMIA, and on advisory boards/
program committees of various life insurance industry bodies and the ERM
Symposium. He is a member of the Fixed Income Forum, Buy Side Risk
Managers Forum and IAFE and leads the formation of PRMIA's Insurance
Committee and PRMIA’s CRO Summit.
Mark holds a BA from Columbia College, an MA in Mathematical Statistics
from Columbia U., and PRMIA’s Professional Risk Manager (PRM)
certification.
