Ceske, Robert J.
Rob is the Chief Risk Manager for General
Electric's Treasury and Global Funding
Operations, which serves GE's financial and
industrial businesses. He set up this function in
2002.
Rob has over 17 years of experience. At GE he
has led a project team of senior Treasury
personnel to establish GE Financial Markets as
centralized derivatives execution center. He

created and oversaw as Chairman a compliance function and Asset/
Liability Committee (ALCO) for Treasury. He has led the selection,
implementation and roll-out of global risk management system for
Treasury. He has also supported key global acquisitions, dispositions,
new product and program introductions.
Prior to GE, Rob was Managing Director of NetRisk, where he created and
led its operational risk and insurance services businesses. He also
worked at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting, at J.P. Morgan and Merrill Lynch,
primarily in derivative products groups.
Rob has been awarded the President’s Award from the Association for
Financial Professionals (AFP) and two Alexander Hamilton Awards from
Treasury & Risk.
Rob’s work has been published in the Journal of Risk Finance, Operational
Risk, Risk and in other publications/ books. He is a regular presenter at
industry conferences.
Rob serves on the Board of Trustees of GARP and is co-chair of its
corporate committee.
Rob has a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from New York University.
