Informal Professional Networking Meeting Rules

Given below are the ground rules for such meetings:

  1. Prior permission of Risk Knowledge Network, Inc. is not needed to
organize an informal professional networking meeting.
  2. Any RWW member can suggest a topic, propose a venue and invite
other RWW members of a Chapter to be physically present to
    discuss the topic/ call-in.
  3. The RWW member proposing the topic can invite all other Chapter
members or can alternatively also be selective and invite only a few.
  4. Specific non-Chapter RWW members can also be invited to call-in
(or attend if possible) where desired.
  5. The RWW member proposing the topic must distribute details of
the topic and questions for discussion. Sample questions for the
London Sept ’07 meeting can be viewed.
  6. The venue would normally be at the office of the member
proposing the topic or as agreed by the attendees e.g. a pay-per-
use conference room (members share costs).
  7. The discussions are confidential (to allow frankness) and the
details are not to be shared with non-attendees although
transcripts (if at all) can be shared with attendees (if all consent to
this). Media presence is not allowed at these meetings.
  8. The RWW member proposing the topic can also invite a non-RWW
member (for example, a senior regulator) to address a closed-door
gathering of RWW members. The name of the non-member
attendee will be stated while inviting other members.
  9. The RWW member proposing the topic should inform Risk
Knowledge Network, Inc. via email after the meeting, with details
on the topic, questions discussed and attendees including any
    non-member attendee’s.
  10. A RWW member not listed under the existing Chapters (New York
& London), desirous of being listed (for example, because they
travel to New York or London often) can request the Network.
