In the context of a Network, there is no easy definition of Privacy. Nonetheless, we have a definition which we believe is robust.
We would describe the following behaviour as being intrusive to privacy:
A member who makes frequent unwanted contact with another listee even when the other person is non-responsive.
A member who is overbearing in approach to the point of being offensive to others.
A member who sends other listees chain emails/mails.
A member who gives a copy of the International Members Directory/ shares member details with a third party who is not a listee.
A member who uses member contact details to promote his/her products and services in a non-subtle offensive manner, e.g., by a daily email.
The above are some examples and are not exhaustive.
For us, a key factor in describing behaviour as intrusive to privacy is if there is a complaint by another member to the Network. We may also get to know of instances of misuse of the directory from third parties.
If the issue is one that can be remedied (excludes sharing of member contact details with third parties), the Network will give the concerned person one opportunity to correct his/her behaviour. However, in case of a repeat complaint (by the same or another member), the concerned person's membership and listing will be immediately terminated.
Nothing in the above stops a member from using the Network to his/her advantage and making contact with other listees in a mature and subtle manner.
